On your Mac
A local provider
Point Beagle at a model running on your own machine through Ollama. Supported workflows execute against that local endpoint, so the prompt and the matter content go to software you are running yourself.
Artificial intelligence
Run supported AI workflows locally — or connect the provider your firm prefers. Either way the analysis works over the matter you already have, and an attorney reviews it before it becomes work product.

Your provider
Or configure the provider your firm has already approved. Beagle keeps the credential in the macOS Keychain, shows an external-AI disclosure before anything leaves the machine, and records the run.
The honest version
AI marketing in legal software is mostly unfalsifiable. Here is the precise shape of what Beagle does, so you can check it.
What is true. Supported AI workflows can run against a local provider on your Mac. You choose the provider. Provider credentials are held in the macOS Keychain and are never written to a backup. Beagle shows a disclosure before using an external provider, and AI output is advisory until an attorney applies it.
What is not. Not every workflow runs locally, and choosing an external provider means content reaches that provider. Beagle does not search case law and cites no legal authority. Retrieval is keyword and exact-phrase matching only; it does not use embedding similarity. Nothing here is a certification, a confidentiality guarantee, or a substitute for your judgment.
AI Notepad
A matter-aware workspace. Attach a matter, ask, and get an answer grounded in what that matter actually contains.
The Notepad works inside one firm and one matter. It does not reach across firms, and it does not answer from a general corpus of law.
Where source grounding is used, retrieved passages are shown with their source. Retrieval is local keyword and exact-phrase matching only.
Output is advisory. Applying anything back to the matter goes through a review step, and the run is recorded.
Matter Intelligence
These are the workflows that are wired and working today. Where a tab is not yet connected, the application says so rather than showing a demo.
Build a timeline of the matter from its records, so the sequence is visible rather than reconstructed by memory.
Surface the exposures a matter carries, drawn from what is recorded on it.
Find statements in the file that do not agree with each other — the thing that is expensive to discover late.
Generate a draft from the matter’s own contents, behind a review gate. Nothing is written back silently.
Control
Provider configuration is an administrative decision, and Beagle treats it as one.
Configure a local provider through Ollama, or an external provider your firm has approved.
Using an external provider means content goes to that provider. Beagle discloses this rather than burying it in a settings screen.
AI output supports an attorney’s judgment. It does not exercise it, and Beagle does not present it as though it does.
The AI Policy states what Beagle does with matter content, and the Privacy Policy states what Argon does with yours.
