AI Advisory Model and Safety

AI output in Beagle is advisory

Beagle's AI never files, sends, or records anything on its own. Every result is a suggestion you read, judge, and choose to keep or discard.

Everything Beagle's AI produces is advisory. It is a suggestion for you to read and judge — not a record, not a filing, and not a decision.

Mac only. AI features are part of the Mac app. The iPhone and Apple Watch apps have no AI surface.

#What that means in practice

  • Nothing is written into a matter without your review. AI results appear in their own surface. Anything that would change a record goes through a review step where you see the proposed change before it is applied.
  • Beagle does not act on its own. It does not send correspondence, file documents, create invoices, close matters, or contact anyone. Every AI run is started by you.
  • Nothing runs in the background. AI work happens when you ask for it.
  • You can discard a result. Declining a suggestion leaves your records exactly as they were.

#Why it works this way

Professional responsibility does not transfer to software. Competence, supervision, confidentiality, conflicts, and candour to the tribunal remain yours. Beagle is built so that an AI result can never quietly become part of the client file: there is always a human decision between a suggestion and a record.

#What Beagle's AI does not do

Beagle does not perform legal research, does not cite cases or statutes, and does not tell you what the law is. Its analysis features work over the matter content you already hold in Beagle. Treat the output the way you would treat a capable assistant's first pass: useful, and requiring your judgement.

#What to watch for

  • Check the result against the source. Analysis features summarise and cross-reference your own records; go back to the underlying document, entry or note before relying on a conclusion.
  • Generated text can be wrong or incomplete. That includes confidently worded text. Read drafts as drafts.
  • Your provider choice still matters. Advisory-only governs what Beagle does with a result; it does not change where the prompt was processed. See Choose and configure an AI provider.
