You can delete your Beagle account from inside the app.
#How to delete it
On a Mac
- Open Settings.
- Go to the Account section.
- Choose Delete Account….
- Read what Beagle tells you will happen, and confirm.
On iPhone
- Open Settings.
- Choose Delete Account.
- Read the confirmation and confirm.
Beagle checks what deleting your account would mean before showing you the destructive step, so you can see the consequences first.
#What deletion does
- Removes your account and your personal data.
- Removes your firm memberships.
- Unlinks your data and clears your credentials from the device.
#What stays behind, and why
Records that belong to a firm — matters, time entries, invoices and similar business records — stay with the firm. They are the firm's records, not personal data, and other members still rely on them. Deleting your account removes you; it does not empty the firm's file.
Billing and audit ledgers needed for financial integrity are kept as append-only records.
#If you are a firm's only owner
Beagle will ask you to transfer ownership to someone else, or delete the firm first. A firm cannot be left without an owner, so deletion cannot proceed until one of those happens.
#Cancel your subscription separately
Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Billing belongs to your Apple ID, so cancel it there or you will keep being charged. See Manage or cancel your subscription.
#What to watch for
- Deletion is not reversible. Export anything you want to keep first.
- Do it in the right order: export what you need → cancel the subscription → hand over or delete the firm if you are the sole owner → delete the account.
