A firm is the boundary around your data. Every client, matter, time entry, invoice and document belongs to exactly one firm, and Beagle only ever shows you the firm you currently have open.
#Choose a firm
After you sign in, Beagle lists the firms your account can open under Available Firms, with the current one marked. Select the one you want and Beagle opens that workspace.
If your account belongs to only one firm, Beagle skips this screen.
#Create your first firm
If your account has no firm yet, Beagle asks you to create one.
- Enter the Firm Name. This is the name that appears in the app, and it is the name that will appear on invoices unless you set a separate billing name.
- Choose the workspace type โ a Law Firm, or a Personal Workspace for a solo practitioner.
- Choose Create Firm.
Beagle opens the new firm immediately. It starts empty.
#Accept an invitation
If someone has invited your account to their firm, Beagle shows the invitation on this screen and offers Accept. Accepting adds the firm to your list; it does not move any of your existing data into it.
If you are expecting an invitation and do not see it, choose Reload Firms โ Beagle re-checks for invitations rather than relying on what it loaded when you signed in.
#Switching firms later
Sign out and sign back in to land on the firm picker again.
Data does not move between firms. There is no transfer or merge. If you create a matter in the wrong firm, it stays in that firm until you delete it and create it again in the right one.
