What is the Dashboard and what does it show?

The Dashboard is the starting view for reviewing your work. It shows time and work activity, including total, billable, and non-billable hours, value summaries, recent matters, tasks due today or overdue, calendar-style time views, and a table of time entries.

#Short answer

The Dashboard is the starting view for reviewing your work. It shows time and work activity, including total, billable, and non-billable hours, value summaries, recent matters, tasks due today or overdue, calendar-style time views, and a table of time entries.

Navigation note: Beagle’s primary navigation uses the center segmented workspace control. The side areas are utility panels, not a traditional folder tree.

#How to use this in practice

  1. Open the relevant Beagle section or setting described above.
  2. Confirm you are working in the correct firm, client, matter, or date range.
  3. Enter or review the information carefully before saving, billing, exporting, or relying on the record.
  4. If the item affects billing, trust funds, deadlines, or case history, review it a second time before sending anything to a client or using it for a report.

#What to watch for

  • Beagle is designed to preserve law-office context. Prefer accurate, plain-language descriptions over shorthand only you understand.
  • If a record is connected to billing, a client, or a matter, changes may affect reports, invoices, or matter history.
  • When in doubt, archive inactive records rather than deleting them.
